Welcome to TESTproductions
Hi there, and welcome to the website of TEST Productions! We're a central Florida-based theatre troupe that works in both film and live events. Many of you probably found us by seeing our Jacon 2009 event, "Jacon: Turnabout Convention", either live or on YouTube, and we hope to keep entertaining you with our future projects!
TEST Productions started back in 2003-2004, during Draco's freshman year. It was formed as a technical production outfit to help with the short film Agents of Destruction, which was one of the brainchildren of Jim McClellan, Draco's father. After filming concluded, TEST continued to help by providing editing and titling for the short film.
After about a year of dabbling in animation for N^3 (Naughty News Network, the news show at the crew's high school), the synopsis for Mighty Morphin' Music Rangers got the green light and production started immediately. It took about three months for a script to be hammered out due to time constraints in filming and limits put on how long the film could be and what could be shown. After another three months of filming and post-production, TEST Productions had its first independent film finished and ready for the masses.
For the next two years, no films would be produced. Draco and Osiris, the second original staff member, took time off from film to work on their web-comic, ODCKS. For most of this time, the comic was daily, but it eventually slumped into a weekly schedule and then went on indefinite hiatus due to a growing lack of time and the plans of the creators' for a large and secret project.
That project, Jacon: Turnabout Convention, premiered at Jacon 2009. This three-day interactive investigation/trial experience not only marked TEST Productions return to film, but also began their foray into producing live theatre.
With more live interactive projects planned, some films in the pre-production process, and the renewed weekly schedule of the web-comic, TEST Productions is moving to bring storytelling back into style!
